The Andersonville landmark known as the "Castle of Berwyn" was built in 1904 for C.Christiansen at a cost of $6,000 by architect George Pfeiffer, exhibits English Gothic and Romanesque architectural styles.

Creating the feeling of a castle is a large turret and an exterior of rusticated limestone. Carved stonework and cluster columns with carved capitals was the craftsmanship of the builder, James P. Flick. Owner is Ron Flores has embellished the site with his collections of architechural artifacts.

Ron invites you to walk through the yard to view the beautiful stone fountian. Please step carefully as all the walkways are not level.

The building is considered a potential landmark by the City of Chicago Landmarks Commission.
